We invite you to meet our dedicated team, explore the stories behind our historic inn, and discover the inspiration for our cookbook, “Supper’s Ready”. At The Charlton Arms, every visit is part of our ongoing story - one we hope you’ll be part of, too.
Cedric & Amy
Cedric Bosi hails from Lyon, but it was in Ludlow that his love affair with English pubs truly began. After arriving in the UK to work alongside brother Claude at the renowned Hibiscus Restaurant, Cedric quickly fell for the traditions and warmth of Shropshire’s countryside inns.
His journey next took him to Ballycotton, a lively village in County Cork, where he further immersed himself in the unique atmosphere of traditional Irish pubs and rural hospitality.
In 2005, Cedric returned to England, joining Claude in a new venture at The Bell Inn, Yarpole—a charming Herefordshire village pub. Their hard work paid off with a Bib Gourmand, and it was during this period that Cedric met Amy, a Herefordshire native. Together they started a young family and built strong roots in the region.
Following Hibiscus’s relocation to London in 2010, Cedric and Amy also made the move south. There, Cedric and Claude opened the Fox and Grapes on Wimbledon Common, and later The Malt House in Fulham, further honing their love for great British pubs.
By late 2014, Cedric and Amy decided it was time for a new chapter—one that was truly their own. After securing The Charlton Arms, they happily returned to Ludlow with their young son, William, ready to create a welcoming, independent inn on the banks of the River Teme.
